Wes Scantlin, lead singer of Puddle of Mudd, has been arrested for DUI and leading police on a high-speed chase.

Scantlin was driving in Renville County, Minnesota when an officer saw his speeding. A pursuit ensued that reached speeds of over 100 MPH.

After the officers were able to get Scantlin to the side of the road, they noticed that he was slurring his words and smelled heavily of alcohol. The police administered a breathalyzer test showing that his blood alcohol level was at .310, four times the legal limit in the state.

Scantlin was charged with DWI, fleeing the police and refusing to cooperate with police, the last after he refused to take further tests.

The singer has had trouble with the police numerous times over the years, including a 2002 incident that saw both he and his fiance arrested for domestic violence, a 2004 case where he appeared at a concert while intoxicated and went on to throw things at the crowd, in 2012 for tax evasion and being intoxicated and interrupting an airline flight, in 2013 again for domestic violence and, earlier this year, for disorderly conduct when he rode the baggage carousel at a Milwaukee airport. He was also banned from Graceland for swimming in an off-limits pool.

While Puddle of Mudd has mainly been popular since 2000, they released their first EP, Stuck, in 1994.
