From the moment TV personality Graham Norton heard The Musgraves he became a huge fan. After playing their debut single 'Last Of Me' on his Radio 2 show and receiving an outstanding response the television presenter quickly struck up a rapport with the band via email, Twitter and Facebook.
His support and admiration for the band didn't stop there ' Graham invited the Midland five-piece to perform on his BBC TV hit, The Graham Norton Show, making them the first unsigned band to appear on the show.
Two hours before their sound check at London Studios disaster struck when they realised their van containing their instruments and clothes had been stolen! They hired replacement equipment and made it to the studio just in time appearing along with Reese Witherspoon, Alex Kingston and Reginald D Hunter.
Leads singer Matt Bennett says 'Even my new shoes where stolen! I'd spent every penny I had on them so I had to wear my old pair with the soles coming away. I can believe I pointed them out to Graham in front of millions of viewers.'
As supportive as ever Norton has this week brought the band a replacement glockenspiel (as promised on the show) and has taken to Twitter in a big to track down the missing equipment.
