Dedicated Italian fans camping outside U2’s rehearsals have recorded the band practising a new song.

U2 are about to resume their 360 Degrees tour following Bono’s back surgery in May and the cancellation of their US leg.

Spirits were high at the Olympic Sports Hall stadium in Torino, Italy, where the band were doing full-scale rehearsals for the comeback shows.

And as punters camped out, they were treated to the band practising an unheard song.

U2 had previously mooted the inclusion of new material on their 360 Degrees tour, The Edge telling Rolling Stone that their producers Steve Lillywhite and Brian Eno suggested it and “We always thought, ‘Wonderful idea’, but never had the chance. This may, be that moment.”

In addition to the new song, they heard were rehearsing off-album tracks ‘Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me’ and ‘Miss Sarejevo’.
