Sir Tom Jones will headline the GUINNESS Arthur's Day celebrations later this month.

The 'Green Green Grass of Home' singer will play at a unique live music event in London's Senate House on Thursday September 27 alongside VV Brown and Wretch 32, as the celebrations arrive in the UK for the first time.

Arthur's Day was first held in 2009 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Guinness founder, Arthur Guinness, signing the 9,000 year lease to the Dublin brewery. Now in its fourth year, Guinness and like minded music fans from more than 55 countries around theworld come together in a series of extraordinary musical celebrations and celebrate the remarkable legacy of Arthur Guinness.

Tom - who will also make a surprise visit to one of 30 official Arthur's Day pubs in the surrounding area of Senate House and perform an exclusive intimate set - said: "I have great memories from playing the first Arthur's Day back in 2009. Bringing it to Great Britain for the first time is going to be just as exciting. I'm ready to rock London, like we rocked Dublin in the first year. People can tune into YouTube on the night where they can watch my performance live. I hope everyone's ready to paint the town black!"

Stuart Kinch, GUINNESS Marketing Manager, Diageo Western Europe, added: "Arthur's Day has always been about like-minded people coming together for unique and remarkable music experiences in pubs and venues around the world. Now on 27 September, GUINNESS and music fans in Great Britain will get to experience this too. With Tom Jones, VV Brown, Wretch 32 and more on the bill, it's set to be a truly remarkable experience"
