Justin Timberlake swept the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night.

The pop star scooped a total of seven gongs at the prize-giving, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

JT scored top prizes including top male artist and top artist, a category which saw him compete against Miley Cyrus, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry.

Imagine Dragons was also a big winner, scoring a total of five awards, including Top Duo/Group and Top 100 Artist.

Pharrell, T.I. and Robin Thicke each trailed with four prizes each, sharing awards for Top Digital Song, Top Hot 100 Song and Top Radio Song for their chart-topping track Blurred Lines.

Taking the stage to claim the award for Top Hot 100 Song, Robin paid tribute to his estranged wife Paula Patton, three months after the couple announced their split.

“Most importantly, I’d like to thank my wife for her love and support, and for putting up with me all these years,” he told the crowd.

Jennifer Lopez was also a big winner of the evening. The star was presented with the prestigious Icon Award, making her the first woman and first Latina in Billboard’s history to receive it.

The pop diva also gave a live performance of her new single, First Love, as well as the new FIFA World Cup anthem, We Are One (Ole Ola), alongside Pitbull and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte.

Other performers included Katy Perry, Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande, One Republic, Miley Cyrus and Flaming Dragons and Michael Jackson, who appeared via hologram for a posthumous rendition of A Slave to the Rhythm, from the late star’s new album, Xscape.
