Robin Thicke’s partying is allegedly “out of control”.
The Blurred Lines singer split from wife Paula Patton in February after nine years of marriage.
And Robin is said to be finding the breakdown of his marriage hard to cope with, instead using alcohol to get him through.
“He’s been drinking and partying almost every night since splitting with Paula,” a source told In Touch Weekly magazine. “He’s trying to numb the pain of losing the love of his life.”
While Mission Impossible actress Paula is no longer in a relationship with Robin, she is still said to be concerned about his wellbeing.
According to reports, the star became so concerned about how much Robin has been drinking that she joined forced with several others to stage an intervention.
“She, his parents and his record company tried to stage an intervention several months ago, but he simply refused,” the source added.
At the beginning of September, Robin was reportedly given a ticket by police by having the music up too loud during a party at his house over the Labor Day weekend.
The music was apparently so loud that neighbours complained.
The situation was also reportedly the second time police have been called to Robin’s house about the noise.
Robin has been doing his utmost to win Paula back since they split, and even named his new album after his former wife.
“The album is exactly what happens when you lose the love of your life and you're trying to figure it out in your head,” Robin said during a previous interview with New York’s Hot 97 radio station.
“How am I going to move on and get through it all? We just weren't happy together anymore and I still had so much I wanted to apologise for, and things I wanted to take responsibility for, so that's pretty much what the album's about."
