The Rolling Stones have sent a Christmas message to fans suggesting the show will go on in 2015.

After playing to 1,159,882 fans over 29 shows in 19 countries and 3 continents on the 14 On Fire tour, the Rolling Stones say “maybe we’ll see you in 2015”.

Keith Richards had previously been quoted as saying that the band would perform in South America in the first half of next year.

The Rolling Stones ended the 14 On Fire tour in Auckland, New Zealand on November 22, 2014 after performing in Australia.

On the Australian tour the band blew out their outdoor Hanging Rock show outside Melbourne because Mick Jagger was suffering from a throat infection. That show is now officially the only Stones show in 50 years to be cancelled twice. The Stones had cancelled the show earlier in the year after the death of Mick Jagger’s girlfriend L’Wren Scott.
