The New Victorians launched the new music video for their latest single ‘Keep me in love’ taken from their upcoming debut album to be released later on this month.
The music video for ‘Keep Me in Love was produced and directed by Malcolm Debono where we see the sister duo in 3 different locations. “ It was a pleasure to work with such a creative act. It’s difficult not to get inspired with such an amazing track” he said. The brand new single, which was released on all radio stations a few days ago, has been very well received by their fans as well as local and international DJ’s.
The journey of The New Victorians started In December 2011 at the International Alchemy Songwriting Competition, Arkansas, USA where they were the youth division winners judged by a star industry panel consisting of American Idol Winner Kris Allen and Grammy Award-Winner David Hodges . Following that success, doors were opened and the duo started to work towards releasing their own music with their mentor Howard Keith and Jagged House Management.
The sisters commented, “We are thankful to have been part of this journey and we now feel comfortable to share our work. The Feedback has been great so far, however we are very aware it’s a tough road ahead. This doesn’t discourage us, on the contrary, it makes us want to work even harder ”
They released their EP ‘Dustpile' last year including their unique Queen rendition of “Somebody to Love”, landing them a couple of prestigious performances with the National Orchestra and several big festivals. The band, which now consists of 5 members, entered the studio to start recording their debut album 2 years ago.
The album launch will in fact coincide with the Greek Theatre performance at EARTH GARDEN festival on Friday 5th June where the band will be performing the album for the first time joined by a few surprise guests. . This promises to be one of the best Greek theatre performances ever hosted at Earth Garden.
The New Victorians will be also performing the new single ‘ Keep Me In Love” at this year’s Fashion awards at the Malta Ship Building. For further details please follow them on their facebook fanpage and website.
