Taylor Swift “knows nothing” about relationships.
The 24-year-old singer has a colourful romance history, having enjoyed dalliances with stars including Jake Gyllenhaal and Harry Styles. However, Taylor insists she is the wrong person to ask about the other half, because none of her partnerships have ever lasted.
“I used to believe that you find the one and that's it: Nothing's difficult after that,” Taylor admitted in a new interview with Lucky magazine.
"But then again, I know nothing now. I know legitimately nothing about lasting relationship experiences because I don't have them."
Taylor also revealed that while a long-lasting relationship is something she hopes for in the future, she has another love in her life right now.
The Shake It Off singer joked that her day-to-day existence is mainly fuelled by coffee.
"Coffee's a big part of my life,” Taylor said. “Skinny caramel lattes are a daily thing that I get excited about and I never stop being excited about."
"So if I could just find one person who I felt that way about - the way I feel about coffee - then I think I'd be in a content relationship."
Taylor’s comments come after it was reported this week she had rekindled her relationship with One Direction singer Harry.
The pair famously ended their romance on bad terms, but are recently said to have patched things up, and were even allegedly seen at a concert together on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
But asked about the potential reunion during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on Friday, Harry admitted many of the rumours doing the rounds are in fact untrue.
Asked specifically about a claim he had sent Taylor 1,989 red roses to celebrate the huge success of her album 1989, Harry replied: “I know nothing about the rumour. I don't know anything about the roses.
"I think it might have been someone else and I may have falsely taken [the credit]."
