Taylor Swift will be the godmother of Jaime King's baby.
Last week the 35-year-old actress announced she and her husband Kyle Newman are expecting their second child.
Now there's more happy news, as her 25-year-old singer friend Taylor will play a very important part in their little one's life.
"Guess who just got named Godmother of this little one..... (ME) @jaime_king @kyle_newman (sic)," the musician posted on her Instagram account.
The announcement was accompanied by a touching picture, in which Taylor kneels on the floor as she lovingly places her hands on Jaime's blossoming bump.
"And @taylorswift will forever be looking over our new baby @kyle_newman -we all love you!!!! Xx (sic)," Jaime wrote on her own Instagram account.
This time she added a sweet snap of Taylor standing behind her, slightly lifting her shirt to expose her friend's rounded stomach.
Jaime and 38-year-old director Kyle already have son James, 16 months, together. She's previously claimed to want at least three children, so the couple could be very busy in the next few years.
Proving her sense of humour, the actress went about announcing her pregnancy in a unique way.
Jaime posted an adorable picture of James holding a sign which read: “I’m gonna be a big brother! Who da boss now? I’m so excited!”
“So excited to announce THE SEQUEL Coming later this year!!” Jaime captioned the shot. “#BabyTown2 - Created by @kyle_newman and @jaime_king. Also starring #JamesKnight (sic).”
Jaime and Taylor have been close for a while and even spent the Fourth of July holiday together last year.
