It looks like System Of A Down are planning a show for the first time in five years.

The Gibson guitars site has posted a news item quoting a French radio blog that claims the band will play in Paris in June next year.

The blog is run by Francis Zégut who hosts Pop Rock Station on France’s RTL2 radio.

He merely wrote “System of a Down, Paris Bercy, 6 juin 2011. Tout est dans le titre” which the Gibson item translates to “System of a Down, Paris Bercy, June 6, 2011. Everything is in the title.”

Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy is an event arena that is soon to host shows from Lady Gaga, Sade, Justin Beiber and Iron Maiden, but hasn’t got any dates for System Of A Down yet.

System Of A Down’s site has no news apart from items about singer Serj Tankian’s solo album, which has been the majority of the action from the band since August 2006.

We'll keep you posted.
