Taylor Swift thinks Lorde is a “party animal”.

The 24-year-old singer formed a close friendship with 17-year-old Royals star Lorde earlier this year.

And Taylor took to Instagram on Friday to admit she was missing her pal.

Posting a shot of the pair together with the caption “TGIF”, which means “Thank God It’s Friday”, Taylor wrote: “I found this and it made me miss this little party animal. Happy Friday errryone! @lordemusic.”

Taylor previously spoke about how important her friends are in her life, insisting they are her top priority.

"I call my friends a lot. I've gotten better at that over the years. Sometimes I have to go months without seeing my best friends and I have to remember to stay in touch,” she told E! Online.

“But most of my friends completely understand how busy life can get, and they'd never make me feel guilty if we haven't talked in a while. We just catch up on everything the next time we see each other.”

Taylor’s friendship with Lorde first hit headlines when it was reported they were feuding.

Lorde made a comment about Taylor being unattainable because of her looks, but explained she meant nothing bad by it.
"what i meant was: there's a lot of importance placed on physical perfection in this industry (sic)," she later wrote on her Tumblr account.

In August, Lorde took to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to introduce Taylor before she performed Shake It Off.

"On the surface, this next performer and I are nothing alike. She's tall, blond and doesn't wear quite this much black," Lorde said. “But we both base our art on the kinds of things that delight, terrify and confound us. And for that, I'm grateful she exists. I'm so proud to introduce - at the beginning of her brand new era - my friend Taylor Swift."
