Steven Tyler was rushed to hospital yesterday after a nasty fall.

The Aerosmith rocker was in the bathroom of his Paraguay hotel when the incident happened, it is reported.

The country’s largest newspaper ABC stated that the 63-year-old broke two teeth and spent three hours in the hospital to have cuts near his eyebrow and mouth seen to.

He is also said to have received dental implants for the broken teeth.

A bellboy at the Bourbon hotel near Asuncion told a local radio station that the American Idol judge slipped during his shower and had a “nasty fall.”

Tyler had planned to perform at a rock festival in the South American country yesterday but it was postponed for a day and is now scheduled to go ahead on Wednesday.

Garzia Group spokesman Marcelo Antunez said the incident was “minor” and that Aerosmith will perform in Paraguay for the first time with more than 50,000 in attendance.

“Mr. Tyler had a small accident that prevents him from staging the concert tonight… he is fine, he’s in his hotel but he’s not able to do the concert,” Marcelo revealed.

Tyler broke his shoulder two years ago after falling off the stage during a concert in South Dakota which led to the group cancelling the remainder of their North American tour.
