Steve Angello needs little introduction. Most people will be aware that he is 33.3% of the Swedish House Mafia – the in your face and in demand elite collective of Sweden’s house music bad boys; Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso. They are now bona fide pop stars with their recent debut ‘One’ reaching a top 10 position and ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’ breaking into the top 5.

What many people forget is that each DJ from the Swedish collective also has their own solo career and respective record label. It is less well known that Steve Angello is also the chief A&R and level headed label boss of his own imprint SIZE, which has gained much Kudos and credibility over the past few years. Over the last 12 months he has enjoyed a string of Beatport top 10’s including 2 x No. 1’s. Here he delivers the first in the cheekily named new compilation series ‘Size Matters’ on his beloved label.

What is astonishing is that Steve has a protégé in the form of his own younger brother, an independently successful international DJ and producer in his own right, who has made a name for himself by sheer hard work and determination. His name is Antoine but you may have come across him as AN21.

“Yeah, my name is very confusing... The whole story is from when I was a child and people couldn't pronounce my name as its French, so I started to say 'one two one'. So AN21 pronounces AN-TWO-ONE = Antoine”.

Unsurprisingly both Steve and Antoine have already worked together on joint productions, checkout ‘Flonko’ and ‘Valodjo’ both co produced by the siblings which have already bedded themselves in as sure fire club hits.

When asked about how the dynamic works between them Antoine states “It feels really good and very natural, no rivalry, but when we do work together in the studio there’s a lot of different opinions wanting to be heard. We´re both very stubborn so we can´t always agree with each other but it works”.
