The Spice Girls had “so much fun” performing at the London 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony Sunday.

The former British girl group reunited for this special occasion, singing classics Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life to billions of viewers around the world.

Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C sang atop jewelled black London taxicabs that glided across the stage.

The band were elated with the show.

“Soooo much fun! (sic)” Mel B posted on Twitter attaching an image of the girls having an amazing time.

“I was a pop star for the night!! I love u @MelanieCmusic, @OfficialMelB, @GeriHalliwell, @EmmaBunton!! we did it!! X vb,” Victoria tweeted.

George Michael, Jessie J, Annie Lennox, Fatboy Slim and One Direction all belted out hits at the ceremony.

Even rock band Queen’s late lead singer Freddie Mercury was digitally resurrected on a large screen for the occasion.

Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss paid stunning tribute to the country’s fashion legacy doing the catwalk onstage in shimmering gold Alexander McQueen gowns.

British comedians Russell Brand and old school Monty Python legend Eric Idle gave the crowd a giggle during the three-hour celebration.

Royals Prince Harry and Catherine Middleton watched the festivities live.
