The Goodfellas actor joins a star-studded cast, including Isabel Lucas, Graham Rogers and Dermot Mulroney in the production, Deadline reports.
The film tells the story of a young man who begins an affair with his neighbour’s wife before the husband suspiciously dies, revealing a lucrative life insurance policy awaiting the woman.
Jonas Brothers crooner Nick will play the young man, Doug, while Isabel has been cast in the role of the cheating spouse, Lena.
Paul is believed to have landed the role of a sheriff investigating the man’s death.
Chris Frisina and Gregg Hurwitz wrote the screenplay and Elizabeth Allen will direct.
Filming is scheduled to begin next week in North Carolina.
Paul has several films already set for release later this year.
He will feature in comedy drama Last I Heard, followed by Scott R. Thompson drama A Place for Heroes, Riz Story’s A Winter Rose and Barry Shurchin drama Immigrant.
The four projects are all currently in post-production.
