Electrifying punk-rock duo, Slaves, are all set to explode with the release of debut album, ‘Are You Satisfied?’ out June 1st on Virgin EMI.
The band just revealed today their new video for ‘Feed The Mantaray’, which is directed by Youth Hymns & Slaves. Populist but hardcore, pithy but often hilarious or surreal, check out the inexplicable next single, ‘Feed The Mantaray’ and watch the explicit version here.
The ‘Feed The Mantaray’ single is set for release March 23rd and includes a 7 inch with two B sides: ‘OK’ and ‘I Shine My Shoes With A Dirty Vest’, the second of which featured in a recent Slaves TV episode on their socials and was recorded in Laurie’s flat.
‘Are You Satisfied?’ album is a colourful, funny and often riotous riposte to the dreary mood of Austerity Britain and brilliantly captures the nation’s frustrated but keep on partying attitude.
With a reputation for raucous, chaotic and energetic live shows, Slaves frantic urgency is captured in rousing anthems like ‘Cheer Up London’ and ‘Do Something’ as well as previous singles ‘Hey’ and ‘The Hunter’.
