Sir Elton John's toddler son high-fived Bono at a star-studded Oscars party last night.

The British singer and his partner David Furnish famously throw their Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party annually on the night of the Oscars. Yesterday's bash was held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood and attracted the biggest names in the business.

However, it was the couple's two-year-old son Zachary who was the star attraction. The toddler helped his parents welcome their guests to the party and was spotted slapping Irish singer Bono's hand at one point.

The tot was dressed in a mini tuxedo, complete with bow tie and pocket square. He trotted around the bash and happily posed for pictures with his fathers, who recently welcomed second son Elijah into the world.

Last week, David revealed the pair have no plans to expand their brood any further. They were thrilled when Elijah was born in January as they felt it was important to give Zachary a sibling. The toddler is delighted to have a brother and is very "protective" of the little boy.

Elton's party was the place to be last night, with stars including Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Heidi Klum, Miley Cyrus and Kelly Osbourne all in attendance.

Also joining the party was Britney Spears, who showed off a stunning new look. The singer has dyed her blonde locks a warm brown colour, which made her complexion glow. She opted for a black sequinned gown, with a long train, deep V-neck and padded shoulders.

Glee star Jane Lynch was thrilled to party with the stars and even posted a picture of herself posing with Nicki Minaj on Twitter. "#nickiminaj and me! Elton John foundation party!!! (sic)," she excitedly captioned it.

Jim Carrey chose to make a big entrance in more ways than one, pairing his demure black suit with a pair of over-sized fake feet and mini wings on his back. The move went down well with Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, who were seen giggling with the comedy star as they arrived.

"Elton's party was fun. My big feet and little angel wings were an expression of my somewhat awkward spiritual journey. I'm a #Strangel. (sic)," Jim wrote on Twitter.

The annual party helps raise money for Elton John's AIDS Foundation.
