Shanina Shaik has denied she is dating Justin Bieber.
The Victoria's Secret model was linked to the Canadian singer after they were spotted together on board a yacht in Ibiza earlier this summer. Shanina, 23, has completely ruled out anything romantic with the 20-year-old singer, insisting they have never regarded each other in that way.
"Justin Bieber and I are not dating, never have been," she told the Daily Mail Australia.
"Everything has just been taken out of context, which is what has happened. I laughed when I saw the pictures, because all it was is that we were on the same boat. We're just friends, we really are, and that's it. There's nothing else to it."
The model first met Justin in 2012 when he performed at the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and spent time chatting to those involved back stage. Since then they have seen each other at a few events in New York City and both joined in the lavish celebrations for Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci's recent 40th birthday in Ibiza.
Also at the party were rumoured couple Michelle Rodriguez and Zac Efron, who Shanina says are made for each other.
"I love Michelle, she's a really nice person who has great spirit and energy," she explained. "She's a total bad-ass on the big screen and in real life she'll tell you, she's very honest. Hanging with her and Zac, they're very cute. They seem really happy together."
Justin has experienced an on/off relationship with Selena Gomez over the last few years and it's been claimed they are now back together. A picture of them snuggled up was posted on his Twitter page last week but then deleted, and it has been claimed they spent the whole weekend together.
"Justin and Selena spent the entire weekend together and it was filled with lots of 'I love you' talk on both ends," an insider told TMZ.
