After five years of absence due to serious illness, talented British tenor and national treasure Russell Watson will makes a welcome return to the official UK album chart.

His ninth album, 'La Voce' is number one in the classical charts and 13 in the main chart.

Recorded in June 2010 with the Roma Sinfonietta - Ennio Morricone's orchestra of choice ' and produced by Mike Hedges, on 'La Voce' Russell's voice has never sounded better. The album has been a fixture of the Amazon pre-order chart since the announcement of its release.

Stronger, more driven and powerful, his renditions of Pino Donaggio's Io Che Non Vivo (Senza Te), Mario Lanza's Arrivederci Roma and Parla Piu Piano (the theme from The Godfather) are as impressive as you'd expect from a man singing with, literally, a new lease of life after overcoming two life-threatening brain tumours.
