Rihanna’s friends are apparently worried she is “heading for disaster” with Chris Brown.
The Barbadian beauty has rekindled her romance with the controversial singer despite his assault on her in 2009.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine she revealed she can’t be apart from Chris and friends are now concerned she is setting herself up for a fall.
“Everyone has told her to wait until she is sure he has changed his ways, otherwise she could be heading for disaster,” a source explained to British magazine Star.
“But she has just ignored them. The only voice she listens to is Chris.”
The 24-year-old turned heads at the recent Grammy Awards, not just because of her stunning red Azzedine Alaïa dress, but also thanks to the sparkler she was sporting on her ring finger.
The rock has caused rumours she and Chris are engaged, which is giving pals further cause for concern.
“It’s like she’s completely blocked out what he did to her, and says that if she doesn’t have a problem with it, nor should anyone else,” the insider said.
“Chris gave her the ring as a sign of commitment and he has told her he wants to marry her. They haven’t planned anything seriously yet, but it is just a matter of time before she goes for it.”
One friendship the romance has particularly affected is apparently Rihanna’s bond with fellow songstress Katy Perry.
The Firework singer is reportedly having trouble forgiving Chris, causing a rift between the two stars.
