Richie Sambora: Denise adopting made me love her more

Richie Sambora has gushed about Denise Richards saying that it was her adoption of a baby last year that made him fall in love with her again.

The 41-year-old actress and the Bon Jovi rocker dated from 2006 to 2007 after he split from his wife Heather Locklear and Denise had broken up from then-husband Charlie Sheen.

But the music star told Us Weekly that it was Denise's adoption of baby Eloise that made him want to rekindle their romance.

'That is just a wonderful, wonderful thing,' Richie told the publication. 'When she did that, it just made me fall in love with her more for god sakes. Because it's such a beautiful thing to do. It's such a giving thing.'

Although Richie, 52, found Denise's actions 'a great inspiration' he says that he has not changed any diapers recently.

'No, I haven't done that but trust me, I did my time with my daughter,' the rock star shared.

He has 14-year-old daughter Ava with Heather while Denise has two other daughters; Sam, eight, and Lola, six, from her marriage to Charlie.

The couple confirmed they had reunited during an event in Beverly Hills this week.
