Richie Sambora leaves Bon Jovi tour

Richie Sambora will not take part in the next leg of the Bon Jovi tour.

The announcement did not specify when or if Sambora will rejoin the band. Bon Jovi ‘Because We Can’ tour continues through the USA until the end of April and then heads to South Africa and then onto Europe in May.

The official Bon Jovi site has posted the following message:

Due to personal issues, Richie Sambora will not be performing on this upcoming leg. All shows will go on as scheduled.

At this point, we have not been able to track down any further information as to the reason for Sambora dropping out of the tour.

In April 2011 Richie left the then tour to go into rehab.
