Jimi Jamison has returned to Survivor five years after leaving the group. He joins the reset of the current group, Frankie Sullivan (guitar, the only remaining original member of the group), Walter Tolentino (guitar / keyboard), Billy Ozello (bass) and Marc Droubay (drums).
A new album is expected next year.

ss, writer and director Julie Delpy has been chosen to direct the movie The Right Profile, the biopic of Joe Strummer of the Clash. Delpy was nominated for an Academy Award for writing Before Sunrise, a film in which she also starred with Ethan Hawke, and has also been nominated for three César Awards (the French Oscar).
Little is known about the film at this time other than that it is supposed to focus on Strummer's career from 1982 to his death in 2002.
Scott Ian of Anthrax announced via Twitter that the next leg of the group's U.S. tour will start during the third week in January.
Bruce Dickinson is out of a job. For a number of years, he has piloted for Astraeus Airlines, but the company has recently gone out of business. Luckily, he can fall back on his position in Iron Maiden.
The Chieftains will celebrate fifty years in the music business with the album Voice of Ages. Co-produced by T Bone Burneett and group member Paddy Moloney, the LP boasts appearances by the Decemberists, the Civil Wars, the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Imelda May, the Pistol Annies and more.
Paul Yandell, the guitarist who supported Chet Atkins for 25 years, passed away on Monday in Hendersonville, TN at the age of 76. He had been fighting cancer.
Yandell also played with the Louvin Brothers, Kitty Wells, George Hamilton IV and Jerry Reed before beginning his quarter century as Atkins main sideman.
When the Billboard Album chart is released on Thursday, one crooner will be replaced by another as the top selling veteran. The Best of the Best by Frank Sinatra, the first album to combine the Chairman of the Board's hits from all three labels for which he recorded, will debut around 18 or 19 with sales of 28,000. Tony Bennett will fall a few spots below with his Duets II moving 23 to 24,000.
The R.E.M. compilation Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage 1982-2011 will debut near the bottom of the top fifty with 12 to 13,000 in sales.
