It appears that Sly Stone is NOT homeless, at least according to Roger Friedman at Showbiz 411. He says that a source close to Stone told him that the New York Post writer who did the story had previously made a documentary on the singer and was trying to relaunch it using the story, for which he paid Sly $5,000, as publicity.
Meanwhile, members of the original band have reacted to the original story with drummer Greg Errico telling TMZ "He knows if he ever wants to make music with us again, the door is always open."
Mick Jagger is considering acting again in the movie Tabloid which his Jagged Films is producing. His part would be a media mogul patterned after Rupert Murdoch.
Steven Tyler has told Rolling Stone that the new Aerosmith album is "almost there" with a final month of work in L.A. set for the near future. Hopes are that it will be out in March.
Rolling Stone also talked to Peter Gabriel recently about the possibility of a Genesis reunion.
I get on pretty well with everybody – it wasn't personal issues – I just didn't want to lose that sort of light-footedness that I enjoy now. And I don't know what the others would want to do. Phil [Collins] has had a lot of physical troubles recently, back problems that have restricted his drum playing, so there may be other reasons that would make it difficult now. So I assume we won't lose any sleep if we don't do more. You know, we had a great run. They did way better after I left anyway. So I don't think anyone has anything to complain about.

Mick Fleetwood is becoming a restaurateur. He plans on opening Fleetwood's in Lahaina on the Hawaiian island of Maui sometime after the first of the year.
This Saturday is the annual Johnny Ramone tribute concert at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. This is the shows seventh year (Ramone died in 2004) and will feature the Misfits, JuiceheaD and the only surviving member of the Ramones, drummer Tommy.
