Scott Ian of Anthrax is up-in-arms over the sales of the group's latest album, Worship Music. In an interview with Broward/Palm Beach New Times, he alleged that for every one album sold, four copies were illegally downloaded.
People can get the records for free, whether they're an actual fan or just a casual person who just wants to check something out. It's not a case of going out and checking out music. Now you can steal it, because the internet makes that possible for people. People have this sense of entitlement now where they think music is free, and that's the way it is, whether or not they even realize they're stealing it.
When asked about the penalty for illegal downloading, he said "You lose your internet. That's it, no more internet for you."
Michael Stipe told British TV on Wednesday night that there will not be an R.E.M. reunion at any time in the future. "It's over. It's done."

Duran Duran has teamed up with Harper's Bizarre magazine for a video for their song Girl Panic! The video will be directed by Jonas Ackerlund (Lady Gaga's Telephone and Paparazzi videos) with five supermodels dressing up as the group in the 80's. The models participating are Naiomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford, Eva Herzigova and Yasmin Le Bon, wife of Simon Le Bon.

Michael Sweet, frontman of Stryper, is preparing to record a new solo album, looking to start laying down track basics by the end of December.

The jury was charged on Thursday in the case of Dr. Conrad Murray's involvement in the death of Michael Jackson. Both sides did their summation with the defense saying that it was Jackson who caused his own death.

EMI has announced that they will be re-releasing Peter Gabriel's entire solo catalog throughout the world except for Australia and Canada.
