Primus drummers heart surgery a success

Tim Alexander, drummer for Primus, has had successful open heart surgery to clear a blockage in his heart.

Alexander had a heart attack on Thursday and doctors had said that he would be well enough for open heart surgery on Monday or Tuesday of this week.

The Primus Facebook site announced the successful procedure:

The Mighty Tim "Herb" Alexander has pulled through surgery, the blockage from his heart has been removed with no complications and all signs point to a glorious and speedy recovery.

Along with Primus, Alexander has been a member of Laundry, A Perfect Circle, the Presence and Puscifer.
