Pink was “inspired” to write poetry after watching an evening of acoustic music.

Last night the star attended the KROQ's Almost Acoustic Xmas at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.

The line-up included headliner Jane’s Addiction, The Black Keys, Death Cab for Cutie, Cage the Elephant, Florence + the Machine, Foster the People, Grouplove, Mumford & Sons, The Naked and Famous and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

The 32-year-old was particularly impressed with British folk group Mumford & Sons.

“Headed to KROQ's almost acoustic Xmas and very excited about it. Great lineup tonight,” she tweeted early on in the evening. “Mumford and Sons... F**king brilliant. They were very inspiring (sic).”

Pink was so enthused by the music that when she returned home, she began her own creations.

However, the singer was careful to work quietly so she wouldn’t wake her six-month-old daughter Willow.

“And now it's home to write some poetry and whisper sweet nothing's in my baby's ear. But like really quietly cause if she wakes up I'll cry (sic),” she wrote.
