Pink says Gwyneth Paltrow is one of the nicest people she’s ever met.
The 33-year-old Stupid Girls singer has rushed to the defence of the Iron Man actress, who came under fire for making unfavourable remarks about the Met Gala.
The New York City affair is known as the Oscars of Fashion with tickets famously difficult to come by. But Gwyneth admitted her experience at the punk-themed gala last Monday left her so unimpressed she would never again return.
"I'm never going again. It was so un-fun," Gwyneth told USA Today. "It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all."
The remarks were written off by many as pretentious. But Pink wasn’t put off.
“I think Gwyneth Paltrow is pretty PUNk for saying that the punk met gala sucked,” the star tweeted on Saturday.
To the contrary, Pink thought Gwyneth’s remarks were hilarious.
“Hahaha I love her,” she wrote. “One of the nicest people I've ever met.”
Pink is currently on the European leg of her The Truth About Love world tour.
She will take the show to Australia next month before heading to Canada and the US, where she will perform her final concert in December.
