Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty wants ex-Libertines bandmate Carl Barat’s songwriting advice.

The “troubled” tabloid star and occasional indie rock musician reunited with his old friend and bandmate Carl Barat for Reading and Leeds festival.

Now he would like help with Babyshambles music.

In an interview with Vogue Italia, Doherty said that he was stuck with some of the new Babyshambles songs.

He mused, “I just feel that when they're finished it will be a new chapter. But they're really struggling to get out at the moment. I might even have to show them to Carl, because in the old days that's what we'd do.”

He said that, “If I had a great idea I'd share it with Carl and inevitably something great would happen.”
