Katy Perry is reportedly ignoring John Mayer’s calls and text messages.
The couple ended their romance in February after dating on and off since 2012.
Katy has since been focusing on her career, and even dyed her hair green as a symbol of her independence.
"She finally decided, 'f**k it. I'm going to do what I want to do and I don't care what people think," a friend of Katy’s told People magazine. "Her hair is an outward statement of her freedom."
The source went on to explain Katy was steadfastly ignoring all attempts at communication from John. The singer is said to feel her relationships with the musician and ex-husband Russell Brand were both highly toxic.
"Katy will not let romance derail her life right now,” said the source. "She is happy being single. I don't see her getting into another relationship for a very long time. Why would she? She has a fantastic career, a ton of friends and is generally happy with things. She thinks that a relationship will complicate things right now."
Katy’s Prismatic World Tour kicks off on May 7 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The 29-year-old is apparently determined to stay focused on giving a great performance and put her love life on the back burner.
"She's looking for something showstopping [for her tour]," said the friend. "Something that will grab the attention of everyone. She can't focus on that if she's dating someone. Right now, she needs to have a one-track mind, and it can't be about a boyfriend. Katy has always been a romantic but she knows that it doesn't all have to happen immediately.
She doesn't need to have the prince on the white horse now. She'll wait, and take care of herself in the meantime."
