Lamar Odom has finally accepted that his marriage to Khloé Kardashian is over.
The couple announced their separation last December after four years of marriage amongst claims that Lamar had been unfaithful and had abused illicit drugs. The 29-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is now rumoured to be dating Moroccan rapper French Montana, and it seems it has made Lamar realise he can’t win his wife back.
“Lamar finally gets it, his marriage to Khloé is over,” a source told Radar Online. “There was a time when Lamar said he would never give up on getting back together with Khloé, but he recognises she has obviously moved on.”
However earlier reports seemed to suggest that the same couldn’t be said for the 34-year-old. Radar claimed that Lamar was “blowing up” Khloé’s phone with “desperate calls” which she was refusing to take.
“Khloé is out in public with new guys all over them and it is killing Lamar,” the source told the outlet at the time. “Yeah, he was totally with other women [first], but he doesn’t want Khloé to shove it in his face that she is moving on. Lamar is jealous and gets mad when she refuses to talk to him.”
But now it seems the basketball star has turned a corner and is reportedly in touch with his legal team about how to proceed with the end of their marriage.
“He will tell his attorney to submit a response to Khloé’s divorce petition,” the insider said. “It isn’t expected to be a long drawn out divorce, since there is an iron clad pre-nup in place.”
