Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown have been nominated for six BET Awards.

Those in the running for the music gongs were announced today, with Nicki and Chris leading the way.

Among the prizes Chris is in the running for is Video of the Year, where he picked up two nods for his tracks Loyal and New Flame. Nicki's hit Anaconda also saw her get a mention in the category, with Beyoncé, Big Sean and Common with John Legend rounding it out.

Chris is also in the running for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration for his song Loyal with Lil Wayne and Tyga and New Flame with Usher and Rick Ross, and finally for the viewers' choice prize. He scooped that nomination for Only, the Nicki Minaj track he, Drake and Lil Wayne feature on. Nicki got a second mention there for Throw Sum Mo, her song with Rae Sremmurd and Young Thug.
