Nick Lachey could “not be more excited” to be expecting a daughter.
The former 98 Degrees singer and Vanessa Lachey announced they were expecting their second child in July of this year.
The couple is already parents to Camden, who Vanessa gave birth to in September 2012. Now, Nick is ready for child number two.
"We're expecting a little girl, beginning of next year," Nick told Us Weekly. "I get the best of both worlds: I get a son and now I'm going to have the experience of a little daughter, which will be a completely different, mind-blowing moment for dad. On a personal side, things could not be in a better place and I could not be more excited. It's great."
The 40-year-old pop singer tied the knot to his 33-year-old actress wife in July of 2011 after meeting on the set of his 2006 music video What’s Left of Me. The couple announced their second pregnancy on Twitter.
"Can't think of a better way to celebrate 3 years of marriage to my beautiful @VanessaLachey than this! #family,” Nick wrote.
The pop star included a photo of a heart drawn in the sand with the words “It’s a girl”, and Camden running in the frame.
“He's growing like a weed and he seems like he's changing literally by the day,” Nick explained to US Weekly of his son. “It's just a cool time. It's them finding their personality and really starting to get their vocabulary… talk in these full sentences and [you're like] 'Where did this come from?' It's just crazy."
