How long have you been involved in music?: Almost 11 years
What are your goals in music ? : To showcase my voice abroad
Do you have a standard routine before performing?: I try to stay calm and be positive. It’s Useless to go over the lyrics in my head; it will make it worse and might make me forget the lyrics so the best thing I try to do is relax and believe in myself that I can do it, and oh, I also warm up my voice. Important !.
Name another Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza Finalist you admire?I admire most of the finalist and it’s impossible to mention them all. The majority of them, I consider to be close friends and some more like family to me and without any doubt, all of them are talented.
What’s your opinion regarding the music industry in Malta? There is still room for improvement especially in promoting young local artist; new to the industry. The mentality in Malta is of ‘Who Knows Who’ and this isn’t fair for other singers. For example; It doesn’t mean that you’re not good at music and you don’t deserve a chance to be promoted as a professional singer, just because you’re not singing regularly on a TV program. Everyone deserves a chance.
Do you believe in collaborations? Who would you duet with? Collaborations are fun to do. I Would do a duet with Chiara. I love her song “It-Tliet ibliet”.
How would you celebrate if you win Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2014? I would celebrate the win with great friends, family and all those who have helped me in anyway during my 11 years of carrier in Music.
