Muppets beat Sergio Mendes for Oscar

‘Man or Muppet’ for The Muppets movie has won the best Original Song music award at the Oscars.

The Academy Awards pretty much insulted the music industry with only two nominations for Original Song this year.

The other nominee was Sergio Mendes for ‘Real In Rio’ from Rio.

The only other music category for Original Score was won by Ludovic Bource for The Artist.

Also nominated were John Williams for ‘The Adventures of Tintin’, Howard Shore for ‘Hugo’, Alberto Iglesias for ‘Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy’ and John Williams for ‘War Horse’.
