(Cover) - EN Fashion - Miranda Lambert brings home so many stray animals her home is like a zoo.

The country music singer says helping animals is ingrained in her DNA, and that she and her husband Blake Shelton prefer to share their home with a menagerie of dogs.

"He's used to it now," Miranda told People. "At first I think he was like, 'What's going on? We have a zoo.'"

Last month, Miranda, 29, brought home a dog she found by the side of the highway. Fortunately, she managed to reunite the pooch with its worried owner.

"Every time I find one, we keep 'em until we can find them the right home," says Miranda, who is a spokesperson for The Pedigree Feeding Project, an initiative to provide dog food for a year to one deserving community.

Miranda and Blake already have five dogs of their own: Jessi and Waylon, who stay at the couple's farm, and Black Betty, Cher and Delta Dawn, who live with the pair.

"We feel like it's a good balance because we can give them all equal attention," Miranda said.

But the couple have no plans to add to their brood anytime soon.

"I don't think we need any more for our family," Miranda laughed.
