Kylie Minogue and Ne-Yo will perform at a concert honouring the winner of the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize next month.

The singers will take the stage at the 19th annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert on December 11 in Oslo, Norway.

Il Volo, Milow, Fanfare Ciocarlia and OqueStrada are also scheduled to perform, concert organisers announced today.

Founded by Alfred Nobel in 1901, the prestigious Nobel Prize is bestowed to individuals and organisations around the world for achievements in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and peace.

The awards are administered by the Nobel Foundation in Stockholm, Sweden.

Laureates receive a medal, personal diploma and cash award.

The Nobel Peace Prize 2012 was awarded to the European Union "for over six decades contributed to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe", the organisation said.

This year's concert, in honour of the EU, will be hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker and Gerard Butler.

Previous Nobel Peace Prize concert performers include: Jennifer Hudson, Seal and Karpe Diem.
