Nicki Minaj showed off her gorgeous mother at the 2015 BET Awards.

The 32-year-old Anaconda rapper received nominations in four categories at this year’s ceremony, bringing boyfriend Meek Mill as her date to the event.

But while scooping up her award for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Nicki was accompanied by her mother Carol.

"I always talk about my mommy and this is the first time the world is going to see her. I love you so much," she said onstage while accepting her trophy with mum Carol standing by her side.

Nicki beat out stiff competition in the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist category, including Azealia Banks, Dej Loaf, Iggy Azalea, Tink and Trina.

But Nicki wasn’t the only woman stealing the show on the night.

Rihanna sent Twitter into an uproar after she was filmed putting duct tape on boxer Floyd Mayweather’s mouth while they sat in the front row together. Many fans wondered just how the B***h Better Have My Money songstress came to possess duct tape in the first place.

Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend Chris Brown also stole the show when he put on a riveting performance with Tyga and Omarion.

Another highlight of the evening was when Diddy, Lil Kim, Ma$e, 112 and Faith Evans reunited onstage to perform a series of their hits, including It's All About the Benjamins, Mo' Money, Mo' Problems, and Love Like This Before. The onstage Bad Boy Records reunion was in celebration of the label’s 22-year anniversary.

Black-ish stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross were co-hosts of the awards ceremony.

And when Anthony accepted the trophy for Best New Artist on behalf of Sam Smith, who wasn’t in attendance, the funnyman had the audience roaring with laughter.

"Sam Smith could not be here tonight because he's white, and he didn't think he would win at the BET Awards and he didn't think he could win, but we showed him that we love him too,” Anthony said to a cackling crowd.

The 2015 BET Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
