Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are apparently just "friendly".
The singer had been dating Patrick Schwarzenegger, the son of Hollywood hardman Arnold, for around five months but their relationship is thought to have fizzled out in April.
Rumours she was rekindling the flame with former fiancé Liam followed, but insiders insist there is nothing to the gossip.
"Miley and Liam are friendly, but they are not seeing each other," a source told People magazine. "They bump into each other around LA and socialise.
"They also keep in contact via texts, but nothing more is going on."
Maybe it's because Miley is actually still hung up on 21-year-old Patrick. She's kept quiet about the split, but it's thought the 22-year-old is doing everything in her power to make herself feel better.
"Miley is trying to keep busy, spending time with her friends and family to take her mind off it," an insider revealed to British magazine Star.
"She's heartbroken and struggling to come to terms with the breakup. She's still hoping they can work it out."
It's thought Miley's music career and Patrick's college lifestyle just weren't compatible in the end. There had also been rumours he found her wild behaviour, which in the past has included twerking in tiny outfits and lighting a joint on stage, too much to handle.
But apparently the final curtain call was a big shock for the blonde.
"Miley and Patrick haven't been getting along for a few weeks. She wanted to make it work, but Patrick doesn't like how outrageous she is," the source continued.
"Miley is devastated because she really thought they were going somewhere. For her, it was love."
Neither of the stars have taken to social media to open up, but Patrick did tweet that he was having trouble sleeping around the time news of the split broke.
