Mick Jagger to host Saturday Night Live

Mick Jagger has signed on to host the May 19 finale for the 37th season of NBC's Saturday Night Live.

This will be Jagger's fifth official appearance on the show, although he has done additional cameos in the past. His appearances:

Season 4 (Premier - October 7, 1978) - Host and musical guests were the Rolling Stones
Season 4 (December 16, 1978) - Host Elliot Gould, musical guests Peter Tosh with Mick Jagger
Season 18 (February 6, 1993) - Host Luke Perry, musical guest Mick Jagger
Season 27 (December 8, 2001) - Host Hugh Jackman, musical guest Mick Jagger
Season 37 (May 19, 2012) - Host Mick Jagger, musical guest Mick Jagger

The announcement comes one week after it was revealed that Will Ferrell would return to the show to host the second-to-last episode.
