The status of Michael Schenker's upcoming album is completely up-in-the-air after a studio break in over the weekend.

Not only were instruments taken, including a rare guitar where only three were ever made, but also the computer that stored all of the tracks for the new album.

The robbery happened at The Kidroom Studios in Graven, Germany where Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock was recording their new album, Spirit on a Mission. The break in occurred sometime over this past weekend.

IMPORTANT NEWS: Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock

Sometime between 6pm Friday 29th Aug and 11 am Sunday 31st August 2014 at "Kidroom Studios" in Greven, Germany, where MICHAEL SCHENKER is recording the new TEMPLE OF ROCK album "Spirit on a Mission", thieves broke in and stole a number of Michael Voss's and a number of Michael Schenker's Dean Flying V guitars.

At the moment the full extent of what has been stolen is being assessed  and the crime scene fingerprinted. However Schenker's brand new Chrome V is one of the guitars that has been taken.

A source close to the band said, "The Dean Chrome V is a one off, made for Michael to his own specifications. There is not another like it, so it will be hard to sell."

German police are examining evidence and the studio for fingerprints / DNA evidence to help catch the criminals.

There will be more details once the extent of the damage and a thorough inventory has been taken of the crime scene.
