Mariah Carey's new beau is reportedly "on a mission" to prove he's her Prince Charming.
The 45-year-old singing sensation has moved from ex Nick Cannon with Aussie billionaire James Packer. The new couple have been spotted out looking smitten recently, with a lavish boat trip in Capri proving the perfect moment to show off their affections.
James is apparently keen to blow his girlfriend away with his romantic gestures.
"Mariah was introduced to James a few months ago by a mutual friend and he's been on a mission to prove he's her Prince Charming. Their first date was like a movie scene - he picked her up from her apartment in New York in a limo and took her to a helipad," a source told British magazine Closer. "Then they flew by helicopter to an airfield where a private jet was waiting for them. They had dinner in the air as the sun was setting over Manhattan, enjoying caviar, champagne and luxury truffles."
Not stopping there, the businessman then reportedly sent her 100 red roses the next day along with a diamond bracelet and earrings.
It seems Mariah - who has twins Monroe and Moroccan with Nick - has even won over her boyfriend's ex-wife Jodhi Meares as she posed for a photo with James and his former spouse.
"James and Jodhi are still good friends so he wanted her to meet Mariah - it wasn't awkward at all. Mariah loves being wined and dined. They drank champagne in the Jacuzzi under the stars every night after dinner and she can't believe her luck that she's met a guy whos intelligent, funny and wants to spoil her rotten," the insider added.
