Mandy Moore is in no rush to have kids.
The 28-year-old singer-turned-actress married rocker Ryan Adams in 2009.
The A Walk to Remember star says now she's savouring being young and in love.
"I'm 28, so I think I have time," Mandy told UsWeekly magazine.
The starlet admits she “definitely” wants children with her husband, 37, in “a couple of years”.
In the meantime, their three pets – cats Vincent and Theo, and a dog, Joni, are enough satisfy the couple.
"We're enjoying the animal children first," she mused.
Mandy is meanwhile working on her seventh studio album.
The Candy hitmaker, who released her last record in 2009, has said she is finding inspiration from various classic artists for the project.
Ryan is also helping her to write some tracks, she revealed in July.
"There's tremendous influence right now around the house," she told CBS News, adding, "From the music I've been introduced to, and being very happy and in a healthy, relationship. I think that still garners a lot of material to write about."
