Lupita Nyong'o is proud she was able to introduce her brother to Beyoncé Knowles.

The A-list were out in full force for the Oscars last night, later congregating in Los Angeles for the Vanity Fair after-party.

Her brother Peter was Lupita's lucky plus one for the night and was overwhelmed when she was able to acquaint him with pop's Queen Bey.

"Just introduced my brother to @beyonce. What are sisters for?! @nyongolaflame @VanityFair party #Oscars. (sic)," she proudly wrote on Instagram, attaching a snap of Peter and the singer.

This isn't the first time her sibling has had the honour of attending the glitzy awards bash. He was also Lupita's date at the 2014 Oscars, where he made it into the infamous selfie taken by Ellen DeGeneres.

Lupita, who took home the best supporting actress prize for 12 Years a Slave last year, may not have been nominated this time around, but she still had plenty to celebrate. Her friend Common and John Legend are behind the Selma track Glory, which picked up best original song for 2015.

Lupita, who shares stylist Micaela Erlanger with Common, took to Instagram to congratulate the star.

"Our stylist Micaela and I are so happy for, and proud of @Common for winning Best Original Song at the #Oscars tonight! @JohnLegend @houseoferlanger @theacademy @calvinklein @chopard (sic)," she wrote, attaching a snap of herself, Common and Micaela.
