Demi Lovato says Iggy Azalea’s bachelorette party will consist of pizza and knitting.
The Fancy singer got engaged to NBA player Nick Young last month and soon after, she told James Corden that Demi will be one of her bridesmaids. Now it’s fallen to the 22-year-old to plan her hen night, and she admits it probably won’t be a raucous affair.
“The bachelorette party will probably consist of pizza and knitting,” she laughed to SiriusXM Hits 1’s The Morning Mash Up on Wednesday. “I literally have knitted with her but she didn’t knit back. She was like you have to teach me. That’s how boring we are.”
The musician’s friendship developed from the fact they live near each other. And despite being sassy and stylish performers, they bonded over a very traditional activity.
“We became close over the holidays and she’s my neighbour … our first time hanging out, we went to Target and then we bought Christmas decorations and things to buy a gingerbread house with,” Demi recalled.
The Skyscraper singer was also present when Nick popped the question to his 25-year-old girlfriend.
“I was there when Nick proposed to her and she was like, ‘You’re going to be a bridesmaid!’ I was like ‘Don’t get my hopes up. I hope you’re serious,’” she added.
Iggy certainly kept her word, and told chat show host James that Demi would be one of four bridesmaids. She also revealed that her fiancé is wanting to have his input into the nuptials, especially when it comes to their first dance.
“Nick wants to have R Kelly perform at our wedding so he can sing 'Marry the P***y' at our wedding," she laughed.
