Lindsay Lohan’s new romance is thought to be getting serious.

The troubled actress has been linked to DJ Julian Cavin for a couple of weeks and it seems they are now making a proper go of things. Lindsay accompanied her beau to a bash at GoldBar in Little Italy, Manhattan, on Friday, where the pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other.

“They were acting like a couple,” an insider told New York Post. “I saw them holding hands, and at times she would rest her head on his shoulder and just act really affectionate.”

The couple were with a group of friends, among them Lindsay’s brother Michael and her good pal Chrissie Miller. At one point Lindsay and fashion designer Chrissie were seen letting loose in the VIP area, where they wowed onlookers with their dance moves.

The event was called Funday and was a star-studded affair, with singer/songwriter Josh Groban and model Jessica Stam also in attendance.

Lindsay has dated DJs in the past, among them Samantha Ronson. The pair were together on-and-off for two years and their difficult relationship plunged them into the limelight, with Samantha’s mother giving an interview in which she discussed it over the weekend.

“When I saw for myself just how volatile Lohan was, I realised that the relationship was not healthy,” Ann Dexter-Jones told British newspaper The Mail.

“I saw how much pain my daughter was in and that she was suffering deeply. She is a very Zen person and not used to the kind of turmoil that Lindsay seems to thrive on.

“I was seriously anxious about Samantha’s safety and wellbeing. I feared a tragedy. It got to a point that I wasn’t sleeping very well.”
