Lil Wayne: VMAs were crazy

Lil Wayne thought stage diving into the crowd at the VMAs was an insane experience.

The rapper gave a two-song performance at the MTV Video Music Awards Thursday accompanied by emerging hip hop 2 Chainz.

Wayne dove into the arms of fans during the show and he loved every second of it.

"That was crazy. That was my first time doing that," he told MTV News shortly after the incident. "I'm trying to get better every day."

2 Chainz and Wayne go back a long way.

2 Chainz has just released his new album Based on a T.R.U. Story to much success.

Wayne is elated that his longtime friend is doing so well.

"That's my best friend, that's my homie from back in the day," Wayne gushed.

"It's almost like - I don't wanna say it, it seem crazy when I say it, but it's like watching your child up there. It feels too good; it's a weird feeling."
