After the launch of the follow-up single ‘What You Don’t Do’ and a memorable set at Glastonbury, Lianne offers an additional insight into the album – themed around songs related to “the feeling of who you are and where you come from” – with ‘Green & Gold’.

Written and produced with Jamie Lidell, it weaves Jamaican and Greek imagery into an autobiographical narrative which offers an insight into the “weird and wonderful journey that I’ve been on since I was a child”. In fact, it was Lianne’s second generation Greek father – a stonemason and enthusiastic accordion player and instrumentalist – who was the musical influence in her life and first taught her guitar and piano.

Following a triumphant set at Glastonbury and Latitude, Lianne La Havas recently confirmed a new UK and Ireland tour which includes her largest headline show to date at the O2 Academy Brixton. In addition to the new headline tour – dates listed below – Lianne’s summer festival schedule continues with shows including Gentlemen of the Road and Bestival, as well as Summer in the City as guest to Paolo Nutini.

‘Blood’ is an album that was inspired by Lianne’s family heritage, which is part Jamaican and part Greek. Once touring for her debut album came to a close, she headed to Jamaica with her mother for a holiday which evolved into an experience of self-discovery. Lianne enjoyed emotional reunions with long-lost relatives; embraced Kingston’s clubs; and even jammed in front of her family for the first time during a session with legendary dancehall / reggae producer Stephen McGregor.

Lianne La Havas made a huge breakthrough with her Top 5 debut album ‘Is Your Love Big Enough?’ which sold 200,000 copies and won Album of the Year at iTunes as well as Barclaycard Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello Best Album nominations.
