Liam Gallagher has finally reached a child support agreement.

The former Oasis rocker’s marriage to Nicole Appleton broke down in the summer of 2013 after reports emerged he had fathered a child with American journalist Liza Ghorbani.

A long court battle between Liam and Liza ensued quickly thereafter over custody issues surrounding their daughter Gemma, but according to UK newspaper The Mirror the dispute ended Thursday after the pair finally reached an accord surrounding child support.

Sources inform the outlet Liam has agreed to pay an estimated $60,000 per year to Liza for the care of their little girl. The deal is also believed to include a confidentiality clause which legally protects information about his private life and the details of his adulterous affair with Liza.

It’s claimed the rocker did not physically appear at the New York Supreme Court hearing, with his celebrity lawyer Raoul Felder stepping in to negotiate final arrangements on behalf of his client.

Judge Laura Drager presided over the case and for around ten minutes before the judgement was finalised, Liza was in the magistrate’s chambers discussing final details with her lawyer Ira Garr.

“I am pleased to hear the parties have reached a settlement with all the issues before the court,” Judge Drager said in court.

“I understand the settlement is confidential. I am satisfied it is a just and appropriate agreement.

“My concern is always what’s best for the child and I’m happy you have worked out an appropriate settlement.”

Liza expressed her delight over finally getting a child support agreement cemented in court.

The writer is happy her little girl will be taken care of.

“I am just really relieved this ordeal is over for the sake of my daughter,” she said after the hearing ended.

Wonderwall singer Liam has four children with four different women. The 42-year-old musician engaged in a tryst that left Liza pregnant in 2010, when she was writing a story about him for The New York Times. This took place two years after he married Nicole in 2008, the mother of his 13-year-old son, Gene.
